Despite many close calls of violence towards each other and moments of tension, their dedication to self-restraint and growth has brought them to this exciting moment. They are eager to continue to serve their community in a new way after all these years.

Meet Charles Brackins
Charles Brackins is more than just a barber; he's a dedicated professional with a passion for his craft and a deep commitment to his community. Born and raised in Sevier County, Charles spent the better part of a decade working within the Sheriff’s Office. However, his desire for something more fulfilling led him on a journey to discover his true calling. After numerous discussions and a few heated debates, Charles teamed up with Ian Morelan to bring to life the concept of the Salty Barber Company. This endeavor wasn't just about starting a business; it was about creating a space where Charles could find joy in his work while still prioritizing time with his family. Barbering quickly became more than just a job for Charles; it became his passion. He constantly seeks new opportunities to expand his knowledge and refine his skills, ensuring that every patron who walks through the door leaves feeling their best. But Charles's dedication doesn't end at the barber's chair. When he's not busy crafting cuts and fades, you'll often find him outdoors with his three boys. From off-roading adventures to lazy days by the water, Charles cherishes every moment spent with his family. |

Meet Ian Morelan
Ian is a Tennessee native who found his calling in serving his community. Born in McMinn Co. and raised in the modest town of Etowah. Ian's journey took him to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he discovered his passion for law enforcement. In 2005, Ian made the pivotal decision to join the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer, marking the beginning of a fulfilling career in public service. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, eventually attaining the esteemed position of Corrections Lieutenant. However, Ian's desire to make a more direct impact on his community led him to a new path. In 2023, a serendipitous conversation with Charles Brackins reignited Ian's childhood dream of becoming a barber. With unwavering determination, he embarked on the journey to K.O. Barber Academy, where he honed his skills and brought his vision to life with the founding of Salty Barber Company. Today, Ian finds joy in balancing his time between running the shop and cherishing moments with his loved ones. When he's not behind the barber's chair, you can catch him indulging in his other passions – turning wrenches on cars, tinkering with firearms, or simply enjoying quality time with his wife and two wonderful daughters. |

As a proud native of Sevier County, Dennis embodies the spirit of our local community and is dedicated to serving it with excellence. Dennis is a man of diverse interests and passions. When he's not busy crafting impeccable cuts in our shop, you can catch him indulging his love for the great outdoors—whether he's casting a line while fishing or hitting the open road on his motorcycle. And let's not forget, Dennis is a loving family man, with a devoted spouse and three amazing kids who inspire him every day. Janet is a Tennessee native with a heart as warm as her southern roots. She recently decided to take the leap and pursue her dreams full-time. With her recent dual license as a Master Barber, she's now ready to re-immerse herself in the hair industry with a renewed sense of excitement and dedication. Janet's journey into the world of beauty began 25 years ago when she earned her cosmetology license while she was in the healthcare sector as a Respiratory Therapist. Now, armed with years of experience and a fresh perspective, Janet is eager to bring her unique blend of skills and expertise to the Barbering Industry. Beyond her professional pursuits, Janet finds joy in her roles as a devoted spouse and mother of two grown children. Her home is also filled with the playful energy of two adorable Pomeranians whom she spoils endlessly. When she's not behind the chair, Janet can be found indulging in her passions for travel, reading, photography, and painting. She embraces life with a spirit of creativity and exploration, infusing her work with a sense of artistry and personal flair. |
